KPI Trends


I can find the network Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of Packet loss, Jitter and Round Trip Time to understand how these impact my organisation for calls and meetings quality experience, the trend of each KPI relative to moving averages and peak periods.

Use the date, Active Directory and Call Type slicers at the top of the report to limit to a particular area of interest. Further advanced filtering can be carried using the Filter pane on the right hand side.

This report tells me

Summary counts

  • Total Calls & Meetings
  • Individual Counts for Calls & Meetings
  • Total Streams for Calls & Meetings

Summary of each KPI

  • Average and maximum packet loss (%)
  • Average and maximum jitter (milliseconds (ms))
  • Average and maximum round trip (milliseconds (ms))

KPIs – Moving Average

  • Average and maximum packet loss, jitter and round trip by Date and Hour


  • Total Stream count to determine activity by Date and Hour


Focus your remediation efforts on the largest volume of streams because this will maximize impact and help to improve the user experience quickly. Use the jitter, packet loss, and round-trip time (RTT) measurements to understand what’s contributing to the poor quality – it’s possible for there to be more than one problem.
