How to upload and use a Power BI template

While most Modality reports are available to install directly from Microsoft AppSource, you may have been given a Power BI template (.pbit) file to use. This is usually for early previews or advanced versions of reports.
- Install Power BI Desktop software, either the Windows Store version (updates automatically) or the manual download.
- Open the template .pbit file in Power BI Desktop. You should be prompted for parameters, typically the location of the database it will read from.
- An initial data refresh will run.
- Once complete, you can try out the report in Power BI Desktop, but for better performance and easy sharing, you can publish to the Power BI service. Click Publish on the ribbon menu and pick a workspace to publish the report to.
